It's 5:43am and I have no desire to sleep just yet. Guess that means more Bayonetta for me. Perhaps a movie after I tire of gaming.

How much could I sell it for?

Whichever problem it is I have a feeling I can't do myself, is that right?

I don't know, have a look on eBay for how much similar faulty consoles are selling for.

As far as reballing goes, it's definitely not something you can do.
Reflowing yes, with a hot air gun. Incredibly temporary though, it may last a few hours or it may last a few years, who knows.

So how do I format the hard drive if I want to sell it on?

You will have to just format it in a PC, then put it back into the PS3. If they get it working again it'll just say the drive needs to be formatted and setup to work on a PS3.

Cool, I guess I'll still need that SATA converter then.

2.5" drives plug into SATA motherboards no problem? I assume your PSU has SATA power on it?

I really should play DX. I almost started it last night, then decided to play GTA-SA instead.

I grabbed Zorlon's 'complete' version a few days ago.

It's too dated now to replay IMO.
