The one I miss the most was a total heap, but I wish I kept it around.

    Some shitty 233MHz Cyrix CPU, 90MB RAM, Voodoo II ( ), 6GB + 10GB HDDs.

Sounds pro. I know I didn't actually own a computer until I was about 10.

We have a picture of it actually. It was a total heap, but we loved it.

THEN IT STOPPED WORKING ONE DAY. All of our second hand PCs just mysteriously stopped working one day. Seriously.

I'm so gonna go through our old photos and upload the geeky ones.

There's one of me from the early 2000s sitting playing on House of the Dead 2 on the Dreamcast. There's various photos of our TV with a Playstation sat beside it.

And then there's photos of our first PC for some reason.

Most computers will eventually die, I had an old shitty emachines at one point that just died when it was about 5 years old. Which is apparently longer than those pieces of shit usually last. It wasn't a virus or anything, something just burned out. I can't remember tbh.

All the computers people advertise/giveaway/sell these days are too modern for what I want.

I don't want a computer from the last 10 years, I don't want a Pentium 4 machine. I had one when they were relatively modern, and it was total shit.

I want a Pentium 2/3 or AMD equivalent machine with like 256MB RAM and 2 Voodoo IIs in SLI.

Believe it or not, I used to love PC gaming in the 90s/early 2000s. Always wanted to play the likes of Half Life, Jedi Knight II, Soldier of Fortune, Kingpin and whatnot. But my parents wouldn't ever buy a computer.

    Pretty much.

Someone my Grandad knows said like 10 years ago that Voodoo IIs in SLI were the tits. And I want to see that shit in person before I die.

Although all SLI'ing 2 Voodoo IIs does is let you run the games at 10**x768 rather than 800x600 on a single card.
