Default Mario Kart: Double Dash on Dolphin

My current version of Dolphin is 3.0-368-dirty.

I downloaded MK: Double Dash here on Emuparadise, and it came it came in parts. Using WinRAR I extracted it all and I am fairly certain it was extracted properly (I saw it automatically extract the .rar00 through .rar05 parts, creating one .iso file).

I load it up onto dolphin, and get the intro screen with Mario going "NIIIIIINTENNNDOOOOO", and the little turtle shell cloud dude does his thing, during which it runs smooth, and the dolphin window up top says it's running at 100% and 60 fps, no prob.

But then it goes black, and after a while I see a blue on black gradient, and eventually blurry still images of the game's opening vid, and no sound.

So why does it suddenly go all crappy on me? I ain't gettin' it!!!

The blackness after Lakitu is because of the intro video, which won't reproduce correctly. Just press start and you'll get to the main menu.

The intro video plays perfectly with sound if you select 50Hz mode on the European version
