Default A Question About CD Images and PSXfin

I have PSXfin, as I prefer it, but I believe I might have espxe somewhere as well. I downloaded it to play my old PSX games on my laptop and it works fine. However, I now want to play a game that I lost and a game that is so scratched, it's seriously unreadable. All of my money is going into my gas tank right now, so my blank cd stack is down to one disc left. I want to save it. My younger sister has Daemon tools; I've tried it, it just won't work. So, here's my question:
Is there any way that I can play downloaded PSX .bin files on an emulator without burning it to a disc or mounting it with a virtual drive? I've looked throughout the forums on this site and many others and well as less reliable sources. I would really appreciate any help.

    http://www.crystalidea.com/bin-to-is...ert-bin-to-iso

this should allow you to convert the .bin file to .iso which is playable by psxfin.

    File > Insert CD Image
I load the *bin and it seems to start, but then doesn't. I've tried downloading it from multiple sites with the same results.

No need to! PSXfin can run .bin natively!
Just go to File --> Insert CD Image. It can also run .ccd .cdz .mds .mdf and .img

I didn't know this I thought I read somewhere that psx emulators including psxfin could not read .bin files I know epsxe can but must have been mistaken on the psxfin.

to the OP make sure the file you download is truly .bin and not .bin.ecm if it is ecm you need ecm tools ti unecm it which you can get from here www.emuparadise.org/PSX/ecm%20tools.rar
to use simply drag the .bin.ecm to unecm in the ecm tools folder and drop.

for daemon tools mount the .cue or .ccd file not the .bin

    hope this helps.
