Default Trying to run psx4droid on Xperia play

Ok so I have the Bios file scph1001.bin downloaded and added in settings, and I downloaded two games from the main site, both are .bin files.

I added both the .cue and the .bin files to the phone and when I try to open the games it opens another screen for a second and then jumps right back to the screen to select a game, no idea what I'm doing wrong.

    Halp.

You sure they are not ecm file format (*.bin.ecm), if so you need to unecm those files before they can be used

Just removing .ecm from the file name will never work

There is no .ecm in the file name just bin, but I got them from here, I'll run them through the ecm tools and see if that makes a difference.

No joy, I did just notice though that the size of the .bin file changes when I move it to the phone i.e. its going from 700Mb to 688Mb, could it be compressing as I move it onto the phone and would I need to do something about that?

very strange indeed but no can't see it being compressed at all

I would however check the cue sheet with notepad and make sure it points to the correct file and also make sure there are no paths in the cue

e.g. if it says something like...

    FILE "C:\game.bin" BINARY

    then change it to read

    FILE "game.bin" BINARY

also give the cue sheet the same file name as the bin file if it's not the same (obviously keeping the .cue at the end of the file name)

I'd be interested to see how it works tomorrow.

Mine worked fine the first time I set everything up. I was pretty impressed. The next day, I wanted to play some more, and nothing worked...no settings would save, and the button mappings refused to last long enough to play a game. Every time I tried to load a game, it wanted to locate the BIOS.

    Dont tell me that.

Started it up, added BIOS, played for a bit, saved, quit and went back to see if everything was fine, it said the bios needed to be loaded as if I hadn't already but i ignored it and the save was still there and everything worked fine.

I'm going to wake up and the phone is going to be on fire.

Here's hoping everything is fine tomorrow

I'm just waiting for the guy with the Xperia Games Conversion thread to convert something I'm interested in playing.

    Me too.

I just realised I'm going to need a much bigger sd card. No doubt copying everything from one to the other will cause problems too ¬_¬
