    Default Swap Magic Question

I am not a noob or anything, I figured how to hack my psp and to get homebrew and stuff working and how to put ps1 games on it and also very recently got pcsx2 up and running on my pc(plays FFX internal great btw ) So I learned about swap magic, I even found an ISO of it and burn it and in my drive on my pc it even says Swap_Magic3.6 or something like that so i know i burnt it correctly. I used powerIso btw, that is some good stuff question do I need to actually buy the sawp magic itself b/c the disc is made especially for ps2 or no just burn it correctly and I am all set? or would i have to block the sensors on my ps2. Oh and my ps2 is a ps2 phat one of the originals its old lol I have taken it apart to fix and put back together myself so If i have to take it apart I will but I do not want to : ( thanks

If you have newer CFW then you should be able to put PSN Eboots in a folder name the folder something small, then put it in the game folder. If you want to play custom eboots you need a popsloader and once you install it you hold the R button while starting the game. A menu will pop up then you choose the pops for that game and the game will start. What model PSP and what firmware? For the PS2 Phat all you really need is a AR MAX and a flash drive to put Free MCBoot on the memory card for a soft mod.

Here is a video that might help. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sMeEl7N7buU I don't think you can burn a copy of Swap Magic. And the only other way to do it is take it apart. I don't think its as safe as free mcboot but I hope this helps you.

Ok this is the video I used for Free MCBoot http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R7EgXzwdX6g but I used AR MAX instead of Gameshark. Good luck on the way you choose. Also if you choose MCBOOT a must have is ESR.elf

ckeck my sig it has all the info you need to install McBoot and all the dowloads you will need.

Also you need to BUY swap magic, so it would just be easier to install FreeMcBoot for nothing eh?.

What you are doing is putting it on a the thumb drive then transferring with a cheat disk like Gameshark or AR Max. You need a PS1 game. and that's about it. Watch that video or Darklinky has a great tutorial in his sig and that should help a lot.

You can always buy another memory card if you need more space. And if a game requires first slot just have the soft mod mem card in the 2nd slot. I see no reason to use something other than mcboot.
