Default The Misadventures of Tron Bonne ePSXe Problem

Hello. Please excuse my lack of in-depth experience with these kinds of things.

For a while I've put off not being able to play MoTB (Misadventures of Tron Bonne) as a problem with a corrupted ISO (this was a long time ago and I've tried multiple versions). Recently I've tried to play it again, but I ran into the same exact problems as before.

Basically, the game likes to hang. During gameplay when dialogue is supposed to show up so that the game can advance, it will not show up. Character animations, backgrounds, and music will continue to run but the game will not advance without pressing Start. Additionally, the main problem is that during the first segment of the game where you are supposed to travel to a certain path, the screen turns black as if it were going to a cut-scene, but that scene will not show up, and no sound plays. Pressing Start does not continue it either. Also, pausing the game and entering the menu will put it into a black screen with music playing.

I did a little research on the matter and referred to these threads, the fixes of which did not work for me. Hopefully these really do work, but it's just me who is just making mistakes. (I'll be adding these as I look them up)

Alternatively, I've tried playing this on pSX 1.13, and I was able to pass through up to the first boss, and after defeating him, the screen transitions into white as it should, but will not continue. I'm not too concerned with playing this on pSX; ideally I want to play this on ePSXe. I've also tried ePSXe 1.6, and the same problem persists.

I was able to play Megaman Legends 1 and 2 without any further configuration than what I've done for trying to play this game for both ePSXe and PSX 1.13

For the time being, I'll still continue researching for myself but I hope that someone will grace me with their knowledge on this, since I don't have much.

    Thanks in advance.

I've run into issues with this game in past and gave up, but decided to revisit it today and now I have this game working quite well!! I just completed the first cargo container puzzle mission.

    Here's my setup:
    Win7 x64
    16GB RAM
    AMD R9 270X graphics card
    Intel Core i3

    Pete's openGL Driver 1.77
w/ "Fast" default settings, windowed mode 640x480, no other settings changed.

    Eternal SPU 1.41
    default settings

No freeze on whitescreen after initial Glyde fight as Tiesel.

I have noticed occasional freezes at certain mission start dialogs, BUT overcame these by using the save state function (F1) when it froze and then reloaded the state(F3). The game continued on it's merry old way like nothing happened at all!
