It's one of the new improved airflow/eco friendly models. They flipped the disk drive to get more megahurts.

It's not an R. It's the Russian 'ya'. Which only makes it more legit. When was the last time you saw a cheap knockoff from Russia?

I have 6 pairs of headphones, 1 broken pair because of a faulty jakc, one pair falling apart, on fully functional pair and the rest are cheap shitty ones that I don't want to throw out.

I've got 2 pairs of sony headphones that I've had for years now.......they both still work fine.

But I do remember going through a lot of headphones when I was younger, and my niece wrecks a couple of pairs per month.

I think the main reason so many of them stop working properly is 'cos they're left on when one goes to sleep........and then get pulled off by the cords (which weakens the connections).

    Spoiler warning:

I've had two pairs break on me the way you described.

I broke a ton of headphones. And the only pair that I have that works is the only not cheaply made one.
I'd say I broke 7 or 8 pairs of those cheap plastice headphones you get for a dollar.

I hardly ever use them anymore, and I haven't had a pair on when I've fallen asleep for a very long time.
But I do fall asleep on the couch listening to music a fair bit........same happens with videos

When I mow the lawn is probably the only time I use headphones now

Any situation I want tunes I just use a sound system (like in the car, at home, in the shed, etc)

I believe I'm picking this up on Friday, for $500

    http://www.staples.com/HP-Pavilion-d...product_375364

Not too shabby. Is there anything better that anyone knows of on Newegg or anything? I work at Staples, so I can get pretty much first dibs on that laptop.
