    Cool Root The Sony Xperia

    Was talking to a member in an earlier thread about rooting the Gingerbread update and he had the Sony Xperia just found the root exploit here it is

    go to the folder where its extracted and execute "RUNME.bat"

    read and follow the instructions on the screen!

    Worked like a charm

    For those of you who don't have the proper drivers for your phone (like me) I have attached them.
    Took me forever to find the drivers, and 30 seconds to root the phone

    I used Doomlord's kernel, and it's very useful since it lets you overclock the CPU. There's also the auto-root and so far it never gave me a problem.
