    Default ePSXe and Linux

    can someone point me to or explain how to run epsxe through ubuntu please, i'm a total noob with linux systems and i really want to get this ps1 emu back...

    Try using PCSXr instead.

    It should be in the repositories.

    Do you mean the Linux version of ePSXe, or running the Windows version in WINE?

    alakazander i have no idea... i have looked at the linux version of epsxe, but it looks like a LOT of trouble to get it to work, and i have no idea what WINE is... like i said i am a complete NOOB on linux... what do you suggest? i did download the one from the repository PCSX but now i cant find a programme to un - ecm the rom file, although i did install an ecm prog, i just cant get it to work...

    click and drag the file over the Un ecm.exe file and it should work

    Really, ePSXe is a PITA. Use pcsx-r ( http://pcsxr.codeplex.com/) or psx (http://psxemulator.gazaxian.com) instead. As for using ecm tools - ecm and unecm - open a terminal console, go to your image file and type "unecm x.ecm", where x.ecm is the name of your file.
