Default Final Fantasy IX problems (Cut-scenes + random battles).

Hello everyone! I'm having a pretty annoying problem while trying to emulate FFIX, and it's really trying my patience. So far, it is two things (hopefuly I don't find anymore): first off, the intro FMV doesn't even seem to load-- I mean the one after the Squaresoft logo when you first start up the game. Perhaps, it really isn't a big deal, but it annoys me that it the screen attempts to load, but then goes straight to the title screen. I just don't want other FMvs to do the same, I suppose. The second is more related to the game-play itself, whenever I get into a random battle, the music plays just fine and the swirl animation works, but after that it is just a black screen (the music still plays perfectly). I'm really not sure how to fix this-- I've tried other plug-ins, different settings, and none of these seem to help. If anyone knows of anything that could remedy this, please let me. FFIX is one of my favorite games, and I would really like to be able to play it.

    **Hardware**
CPU: AMD Phenom II N640 Dual-Core (2.9 GHz)
Graphics Card: Dual Graphics -- ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4250 (on-board) + ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5470 512 MB. (Using the dedicated card for emulation; lastest drivers from the AMD website are installed.)
    RAM: 6.00 GB DDR-3
Operating System: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit

    Emulator: ePSXe
    Version: 1.7.0
Plugins: Pete's OpenGL2 Driver 2.9 (on the default 'fast' settings) ; P.E.O.p.S. DSound Audio Driver 1.9
Other Plugins: Have tried Pete's OpenGL2 2.9 with the default 'nice' settings which produces the same result; PEOps software driver 1.19 produces the same result, and Pete'sD3D driver produces all sorts of oddities-- missing screens, parts screens missing, ridiculous slow down when getting into a a battle making thins unplayable. Have also tried setting the graphics VRAM from 0 (auto-detect) to 512 MB which fixes nothing.
Tried other emulators: Yes-- AdriPSX, PSX 1.13, PSXeven, PCSX all to no avail.

If you mean the download of FFIX and the emulator, I got all off of the download section of Emuparadise. Used the direct download link. I was also able to fix most of the issues that I've been having by messing around with plugins, though there are a few things that are still quite annoying-- the absence of the battle swirl before a random battle and the background of the memory card loading screen being half black (if that makes sense). Not sure if there are other effects.

try using pete's openGl2.9 for the video set frame buffer access all the way up

make sure at the bottom MDEC filter is on go to graphics card vram take this off of auto detect as it is horrid with ati cards set it to 512MB tick the check box beside special game fixes and turn on the one/ones (been a while since I played FFIX0)that say they are for FFIX.also some ati cards have problems when internal x is set above 1.

if you can't use opengl 2 use pete's opengl 1.74 and configure like this
