Are you sure it's in slow motion mode, or is your PC just not powerful enough to emulate PS2?

Also, running from a disk will make them play slower due to longer read times.

My PS2 emulator was also slow, but the entire time, not only on movies. That was because of the powerless PC.
Maybe one of your emulator's thingies aren't configured right? If you post your PC's specs and the emulator's configuration maybe someone might help.
Not me, thou. Couldn't configure it even in here, who'd say in your place.

i'm thinking it might be a lack of pc power for running ps2 as well could be wrong though, my specs:

    processor: Pentium(R) Dual-Core CPU T4400 @ 2.20Ghz x2

    4gb RAM

    64-bit OS (windows 7)

got this laptop earlier this year after my last computer more or less died (a old outdated dell) and this is how i got it without any real changes hardware-wise (superior to my old alienware in every single way except for not being windows XP and not having a NVidia geforce video/graphics card), still plays ps2 but sluggish, far from unplayable however except from some games except for some where thats just quite annoying. went through my copy of .HACK part 2 smoothly if slightly slowly

If you play the game from CD, just make an ISO from it, and then run it through ISO mode.

But if you're not, post your computer specs, plugins settings, etc.

OK here's my solution to the slow-mo problem keep in mind this solution will cause studdery audio in fmv's though on my single core with these options I get @ least 50fps sometimes 60. first make sure the preset boxes are unchecked and then.

snes is a good system for rpg's though not as graphic intensive as ps1 or ps2 it has many quality rpg's on it my personal recommendation would be trying breath of fire 2 or final fantasy 3 or even super mario rpg on it

you could also try Nintendo DS emulators for games like suikoden tierkreis and golden sun dark dawn

Don't set the VU Cycle Stealing to max, it will only give you false or inaccurate FPS, just max out the EE Cyclerate or use the Preset option which is a recommended optimization for low end PC.

and what game are you trying to play? Bear in mind that your PC specs is not good enough to run PCSX2 at stable rate, where slowdown will happen almost everytime during gameplay, especially on scenes, etc.
