Default Geography Quiz - How's Your Knowledge?

The Portugal thread reminded me of this little gem. I think it's been posted here once or twice before, but I think we've got enough new people running about now that we can do it again. A collection of geography quizzes can be found at Lizardpoint here, with a wide range of materials ranging from American states and European states to Russian republics and Pakistani provinces, territories, and tribal areas. It's a lot of fun to do this kind of stuff once in a while, so I'll start off with a couple.

    European countries: 144/144
European capitals: 116/117 (easier than it could have otherwise been, due to matching; silly little Balkan statelets)
Middle East countries: 74/75 (mixed up Kyrgyzstan and Tajikstan)
African countries: 150/162 (ah~, sooo humiliating)
    United States states: 150/150
German states: 45/48 (I confused Nieder-Sachsen with Sachsen and Anhalt, which is kinda silly)
French regions: 62/66 (thankfully not departments)

I'm 150/150 for the United States, don't know enough about the rest of the worlds geography to even make an attempt on it.

Curse you, Mistral! We don't post things like this when it's 3AM in the UK and people are already up way past their bedtimes.

Scored full marks for the European countries and European capitals ones, as a couple of months back I came across a different version of those two quizzes and kept trying them until I knew them by heart. Wouldn't really trust myself on many others, but come tomorrow I'll surely set out to remedy that. Oh internet quizzes, you never fail to help me waste a few hours~

European countries:142/144 - damn Baltic states, can't they just rejoin Russia and make this quiz easier?
    South American countries:37/39

And just so i can embarrass my self on-line...

    African countries:111/162 - oh,the shame!

Ooh that's an awesome browser game! I just got completely sidetracked, and also just realised my knowledge of european capitals is rubbish! Time for some practice!

I think it's a multi-layered commentary on how sacred geometry relates to geophysical elements.

Never been a big fan of Geography, and I'm pretty rusty at it. Need to mention that I confuse names and places a lot, and get confused with left and right.

    Sorry; I really couldn't resist.
