There was Mortal Kombat. The first one was good.
-Mason Gray: Less vowels, same great consonant taste.
I think that Resident Evil was the best. It kept to the story of the games, was a tasty treat for Resi' fans, and a brill starter for someone who hadn't heard of Resident Evil before. I admit, i'm a huge Resi fan, but having to have endured that first zombie from Resi 1 when i was younger, the blood lust was inevitable. Heh. Anyway, Tomb raider was a huge let down. If it was a female indeana jones, (However its spelt �_�) then it may have got a better reputation. Final Fantasy was brill, but ever-so-slightly regretable. I havnt seen dungeons and dragons, and cant remember mario bros, mortal kombat or street fight. I've heard theres a Wing commander, but i'm not sure. Can anyone fill me in on this?

I would have to say that my fav was Final Fantasy. But, the best "Game to Movie" conversion that stayed alot like the game was Mortal Kombat. I also really loved Dungeons and Dragons. It was cool.

I think the "best" is without a doubt, Resident Evil. My favorite, however, is Final Fantasy.
Keep in mind that many game-to-movie films will be released shortly. Duke Nukem, two RE sequels, Dead or Alive, possible Crazy Taxi and GTA.

These are the top three favorite game to tv conversions. Obviously there really old cuz I liked them when I was little
1. This one megaman cartoon which only aired 2.2 seasons I think... Maybe 3.2...
2. A nintendo cartoon with link and mario and a host of other nintendo characters. (I still have a bit of it taped)
3. A sonic cartoon on cable. I think they still show it..

Well, I was thinking of theatrical movies but there are plenty of good tv movies and animated (VHS only) game movies out there.

I hated the FF movie also. It wasn't as good as i thought it could be.
My expectations are to high
we all did i think... and it was a flop in our eyes because of our high expectations. but if we didn't know anything about the final fantasy series and squaresoft, we would have thought the movie to be great
Call me strange, but I really liked Mortal Kombat. I think I would have liked it more though if it had been bloddier and darker.
defenitely Street fighter 2 the manga film it rocked!
