Default Problem with tales of the abyss freezing as I beging the third part of the game.

I beat the final boss(Van) for the 2nd of 3 chapters. When I try to leave my home city for the first time after fast forwarding a month(in game time), the game freezes on the loading screen. The window of pscx2 that has the log, then shows this

I don't have any idea how to fix this at all. First time romming a ps2 game, and I've never had any problems in the 40 hours I've already put in. Really hoping to finish the game. Any help anyone?

I think that is what you want? If not tell me how to get to the information you need and I'll do it.

Click the GSdx's Configure button, and post the screenshot of it.

Are the rest of the settings in default? no speedhacks, etc.

That's what you want I think? I also, opened up my game, and went to the spot it occured and put the log in the background.

Edit: Also, I am running no such mods that I know of. I literally had to be walked through setting this up step by step as I have tried for a couple of years with failure. This is only my 2nd game on this emulator(I've used snes and vba a lot) so I am completely ignorant of it, and have made no attempts to change it since I got it working.

So, I assume everything is in default then.

Can you try set the GSdx settings to D3D10 Harware, and enable the Native resolution? Then load your game from the Memory Card save, and go through that area again.

If nothing changes, attach your Memory Card here, see if I can reproduce the same problem you have.

It didn't work. I'm searching for what you want. By memory card I assume you mean what I call a save state? I know with snes and vba they were actual files, and you could send them. Where would I locate them. I did a quick search but couldn't find them. Gonna try a bit harder and see if I can find em.

Nope, Memory Card is where you store the real/actual saves which can only be done through the game(save point), and can be found inside the memcards folder at the root of PCSX2.

Save your game to Memory Card(not savestates), reboot the emulator, then apply the settings I posted previously, run the game again by loading the save from memory card.
Enable the Automatic Game Fixes on the System menu as well.

Ok, so for some reason I don't have the memory card folder. I have an old version of pscx2 that I downloaded years ago, and that one has the folder but my current version doesn't. Also there is no "enable automatic game fixxes I saw". I had been saving to the game the entire time for some reason but never loaded from it. That being said, it loaded and worked fine. Turns out I'm not even supposed to leave that way as I was told when it didn't freeze.

Thank you for the help. I truely didn't think I'd be able to get help since it's a not well known game, and the ps2 community is small. Then I remembered good ole emuparadise, and you were able to help me. I'm truly thankful for your help. Thank you for allowing me to not waste 40 hours.

Just keep using memcard save as your main save, and only use savestates when necessary.
    Well, glad that worked out.
