    Default Resident Evil 2 Discussion

    562855_90001_front.jpg

Recently picked up a copy of RE2 for Playstation. I've only really played the 4th entry in the RE series and loved it so I was interested in this one due to its connection to 4 via Leon. What are some of your thoughts on this game? Classic survival horror or outdated and frustrating?

Haven't started it yet. Are save points and ammo really scarce?

Not really, but I guess it depends on what difficulty you're playing it on as well.

While 2 isn't my favorite RE, (Code Veronica is) it is one of the best games in the series. A lot of the monsters are memorable, like Mr. X, and the G Monster. Also, Claire is hot.

No.Even on Normal difficulty,if you dodge most of the zombies in the first half of the game and search every spot(especially invisible ones)you'll have plenty of herbs and ammunition at the second half.Herbs are abundant, you don't even need to use First Aid Sprays.Ribbon Inks are everywhere too.

I enjoyed too much Resident Evil 2, even playing hard mode, the game isn't too hard I could finish the game only saving once but only got the rank B I get hurted too much despite I never used the first aid sprays I never got the A rank, but using emulators and the blessed savestates is a different story.
A great game indeed very scary specially when the zombies kill you, the splattered blood, the sound of flesh being ripped, that's scary.

It is a great game. Lots of extras that go along with it too like the 4th survivor and the tofu. And there's plenty of ammo and herbs if you know where to look but maybe that's just me after beating this game 600 times. Someone asked about a remake? Not likely there's been talk for years about a possible update and release over XBL but that's all it's been - talk. So probably not.

I'm not really an RE fan but i will have to agree that two was the best 3 was also good, I also liked survivor because it took a different take on survival/horror.

Great. Look forward to starting it once I beat the games I'm working on right now. RE4, Silent Hill, and Dead Space 2 are probably my favorite survival horror games. I remember the Alone in the Dark for Dreamcast being pretty cool too.
