Can't get Spyro games to run

With the first game, it'll get all the way to the first cutscene, and then freezes on the loading screen where it says "The Adventure Begins...", once Spyro's flown by. Also of note is the wacko acid trip colors on Spyro in this screen. Everywhere else, the colors are normal.

With the other two games, it freezes on the Insomnia screen, but the audio continues.

I use PSXeven v0.19, the bios Scph1001, my gpu is psx emulation cheater v2.5 --> P.E.Op.S. Soft Driver 1.16, the spu is P.E.Op.S. DSound Audio Driver v1.9.

They are configured as follows.





The only cheats I'm using are the infinite health/infinite life cheats. But, I've tried emu'ing these games before without the cheats, and I've had the same problems.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Have you try playing those games on ePSXe?

The second and third game are copy protected(the first one as well, but only on Japanese version), where you need to use patches to bypass the freezing issues.

I have another question. Got the game running on the ePSXe emu, but the video is running slow while the sound runs at normal speed. I'm using the same settings as before.

How I can fix this?

On your graphic config, enable Use Frame Skipping and set it to Autodetect.
