Rayman 2 N64 Freezing Issues

Ive been playing through normally, but come to the Sanctuary of Water and Ice level, it always freezes when attempting to get one of the two magic spheres to open the big door

I've attempted this on PJ64 1.7.0.50 and 1964 1.1, trying both Jabo's Video Plugin and Mudlord's Rice Video Plugin, using save states and regular saves.

I'm pretty sure it's a good dump, seeing as I got the ROM from EP, but I could be wrong.

It does't crash the emu, just freezes video and audio.I can still end emulation properly and load up the the ROM again, no problems.

How can I fix this?

Don't think it's necessary,but my hardware is as follows:
Intel Core i7 2.0 GHZ Quad Core
ATI Radeon HD 5870 1GB
6GB DDR3 RAM
Widows 7 Home Premium 64-bit

EDIT: It was either the ROM or both emus. My guess is the ROM. I tried a the ROM from romhustler, and it worked fine in PJ64 1.6
