Default Audio Issues with Final Fantasy Tactics

I've done some searching on the net for a while, but I can't seem to get this resolved in any way, shape, or form. I've tried a bunch of different audio and video plugins and settings, and several different bios files, but Final Fantasy Tactics always gives me the same issue. After about 5-10 minutes of playing, the game's audio will inevitably be overwhelmed by a static type sound. I'm running the game using ePSXe 1.7.0 through Delta. I've seen other threads elsewhere on this, but after reading through them I still haven't been able to resolve my issue, so here's yet another query to the internets on the same subject. Sorry if this is bad form.

Bios file = any will do

Video would not cause issues with sound the way you have mentioned, unless they are set too high for your system to handle

Sound... settings may not help but different plugins for sound would

Eternal SPU or P.E.Op.S. DSound PSX SPU would be recomended

    Mod projects - XBOX

Yeah, I've noticed some crashing too. I'll give 1.5 a shot. Thanks! I do remember things working on an older PC a few years ago without these problems so maybe an older version is the answer.
