They sorta are. The games are formatted for a flash card.

Whether this plays out like the PSP where you download/install to the cards or whether the games will be sold on the cards is sorta questionable right now. They said you will still be able to purchase the games at stores, but whether this means they'll have special cards for this or it'll be voucher based hasn't really been clarified well to my knowledge.

In any event, people used UMDs?

what people dont realize is if you download cfw, you can have the umd load on your computer and copy the files that way but there is no way sony would allow it lol

Bully for sure. with its two analog sticks it would be cool picking lockers inside the school building. if Bully or some of the tony hawk games were released on the vita i would buy it No doubt. oh and also sony already said they have no plans on making ps2 or ps3 games playable on the vita. Killjoy

I find it deeply amusing that people bash Nintendo for remakes, then want them from Sony.

I don't want to see any remakes. I'm sick of this trend of remaking games for new systems! Make new classics that the retards will want remade in the next generation!

as far as i know the vita will have some sort of cartridges like some of the oldschool systems. on topic: remakes of katamari damacy and we love katamari with added content would be great.

The 'International Versions' of Final Fantasy X/X-2 would be nice for NTSC.

I wouldn't particularly want any ps2 games for vita, I'd rather just have companies make a console with backward compatibility, so I don't have to rebuy games again, although I know the purpose of remakes is for extra features and giving the game to people who don't have the money/access to older games and systems, as well as making hardcore fans buy a new system and the remade game.I wish good game series would get more good games, instead of just remakes.
