I've got to go with Majora's Mask and the Banjo & Kazooie titles.
For games less popular, Dragon Quest V. Spent many hours on that beaut.
(Also, first thread on Epforums. Seems to be a wonderful place. Looking forward to playing with you guys.)

Grandia. I don't know many people who know if it at all.
Biggest childhood memory, loved it through and through and still stand by it today. (Even now I look back and some lines are very cringe worthy!)
Still, one of my favourite stories, battle systems, and music. Graphics aren't particularly impressive, but it's PSX, so hey ho.
Oh, and probably FFIX.
.. Kingdom Hearts!!
No. I agree on the FFIX.
mischief makers for the n64 that game was so epic
Tomb Raider.Ocarina of Time is a rip-off after Tomb Raider.S. Miyamoto said Raiders of the Lost Ark is his favourite movie & Tomb Raider was inspired after that movie & Ocarina of Time was inspired after Tomb Raider.
-In both games we push blocks.
-In both games we grab onto ledges.
-In both games we jump from a platform to another.
-Ocarina of Time(1998) has Z-Targeting, Lock-On whatever; Tomb Raider(1996) has automatic targeting when you draw the weapons(very similar with the Ocarina's Z-Targeting).
-Both Lara & Link look choppy, blocky.
-Both make annoying grunts, sounds when they fall or are attacked.
-In both games we have a rotating Ring-like In-Game Menu.
-Both games are Action-Adventure Exploration.
-In Ocarina of Time you have to collect "3 artifacts" & put them in the Temple of Time.
-in Tomb Raider you have to collect "3 artifacts" & unite them.
-In both games we have a horizontal Health Bar.

Jumping Flash!Released in 1995, is very similar with games like Super Mario 64 & Metroid Prime in a lot of aspects, basically if you combine Super Mario 64 from 1996 with Metroid Prime from 2002, you get this little gem called Jumping Flash from 1995.
Super Mario 64, Game Revolution Score: B+ (BAD Camera)

Tomb Raider, A (Smarter camera than Mario 64)

I also have to mention Soul Blade, which started the Soulcalibur series & Die Hard Trilogy which reminds me a lot of GTA III.Also, MDK introduced the Sniper-Scope in Gaming, not Goldeneye.MDK was released 4 months before GE007 & it also has the Zoom In/Zoom Out Feature.
Nekketsu Kakutou Densetsu from 1992 is very similar with Super Smash Bros from 1999
Joana Dark is a Lara Croft clone, those dinosaurs from Perfect Dark are also in Tomb Raider, those exotic environments from Goldeneye 007 are also in Tomb Raider, Nathan Drake is a Lara Croft wannabe & so on.

Herzog Zwei and Dune 2. Pioneers of the RTS genre frequently overlooked by casuals and fanatics respectively.
Secret of Evermore
Seems like almost everybody is either too eager to trash it by trying to compare it to Secret of Mana (a game which I think is criminally overrated, much like Chrono Trigger) or spewing bile of unchecked fanboism and wrongness in saying that it was the game that ensured that nobody outside of Japan got Seiken Densetsu 3.
Ring of Red (ps2) and Target Earth (genesis).
Ring of Red was a grid based tactical game where you fought in tanks with troops to back you up. You were able to choose your own troops and they did different types of damage as well as improve different things with your tank.
Target Earth was a side-scroller where you fought as a soldier for Earth. Your base on the moon is attacked and you must navigate your way to Earth in order to defend the planet from an invading force. It's a cool story while also being a little challenging.
Rings of Medusa 2,overlooked RPG/strategy hybrid from the early 90s set in futuristic feudal lands.

I'd have to say the whole Y's series.
ACTION RPG'S
Brutual Legend. Sure the game appeals to metal heads, but it was rather downplayed. It's a good game. You'll prboably like it more if you're a heavy metal fan. Of course that is the audience the game is trying to cater to. Even so, its still a good game. The only problem is the RTS elements didn't work very well within the game. If it was just hack n' slash throughout the whole game, it would have been a lot better.
Treasure of the Rudras
Or, its Jap name: Rudra no Hihō
and Mystic Ark
Both are which very good RPGs that almost nobody knows about
