I'm considering setting up a FTP

Hi all , i'm pretty new to this Rom stuff , BUT not new to running my own FTP site....

So i'm considering setting 1 up for Gameboy and Gameboy Advance Roms ...

At this time i've got 69 GBA roms and probably 800 odd Gameboy Roms ... My GBA roms are all listed below :

The only problem i've got is my GB roms are not in order has they've been released as shown on

here

and was hoping some of you guys have got the roms organised in numbered zip files or Rars as listed on the site above. so we can keep them in order of release etc ...


I will make this site no ratio BUT you'll have to log in with the user name you use for this Forum.... so that way i can keep track of Total Leechers with no thanks or not even a single upload .

H/D space is not a problem , I've got 20gig to use for this FTP with an extra 20 gig for reserve if needed .

So all i need to know off you guys is :

sounds cool m8 and i love how theirs no ratio! as for the gameboy roms, i think that as long as their sorted by name, even if their not in the order they were released, it would still be cool. but its up to u whether u wanna spend the time numbering them all. i dont have them all numbered though so i cant help u with that... sorry.

whats your connection and what will u set the max users to? also will it be online 24/7

I'm on ADSL and it'll be up 12 hours a day, (i've gotta be able to use the net for my personal use as well.)and most of the time @ weekends , max users will be no more than 8 to keep a nice steady speed for everyone

sounds cool. i agree with the 12 hour thing and using it for personal use sometimes too so its still cool. let us know when its up and all the info on it. (IP address, login name, password, etc.)

I'm gonna do a clean format on my machine, then i'll sort the ftp out .... maybe l8r today ... or tommorrow
