Question Do you think The Anti-Streaming Bill will pass?

For those you you that don't know:

The United States Senate is in the process of considering bill S.978, a bill "To amend the criminal penalty provision for criminal infringement of a copyright," or as you might know it, the Anti-Streaming Bill. If bill S.978 passes, you could be jailed for streaming video games, or even uploading them to Youtube. In a nutshell, this would severely damage our online fighting game communities. Read "Tolling the Stream" by David Graham on SRK for all the details on this threatening bill.

I think it will pass, the problem isn't what the bill is trying to do, it's all about how it's worded. Vaguely.

It'll pass. It's got bipartisan support; the bill makes the politicians look like they're getting something done on an important issue, and it's profitable too (anti-streaming lobbyists have given almost 100 mil to pass it).
It's lack of concrete wording will definitely produce controversy as to how it will be enforced, and I'm pretty sure people will go to court to challenge it.

Money talks. This will pass. Kinda retarded though, the way it's worded and all.

    *sigh*

Why does everybody think it will pass? I don't think it will, since congress can't agree on anything. They would rather call each other Socialist Nazis, who want to destory America, than pass an important bill. 911 first responders comes to mind, it passed eventually, but it should have passed the 1st time, besides, the first responders have to prove they aren't terrorists first, which is a kick in the balls. I have lost faith in government. Congress should all be replaced by new blood, maybe that would stop the bickering....maybe, rearguards, I don't think it will pass, because they aren't competent enough to pass anything of importance.

The main reason (and likely only one) it might pass is that the anti-streaming lobbyists are bribing enough of the government members for it to happen...

And I doubt that replacing them would change anything in the end... new names, same idiots

Don' worry, it won't hurt... that much!

Congress agrees on a bunch of crap, which is mostly along the lines of something has to be done about problem X and issue Y...they start bickering over the details. This bill apparently lacks in details, and besides, regardless of party, lobbyists are giving politicians millions just to be politically correct and oppose piracy.

We will see an end to lobbyists when governments declare war against corporations. The same corporations that pay them $millions for 1 vote.

Even if it does pass, I doubt much will change. The FBI is far more interested in stopping serious threats, rather than some kid downloading a game, streaming TV, or playing something online.
