Yes and no. The emus available are too slow to be considered even relatively playable. Most sprites do not even appear at all, sound is missing and controls are sluggish. Thats just SNES, so idk about Genesis...Gameboy emus even suck on that card. Your best bet is to get the new one everyone is talking about: the DSTWO.
I know, because I have tried them on AK2i, DSTT, and R4SDHC. All fail.
Here they are if you want to try for yourself:
Genesis
SNES
yup, the DSTwo has a built in CPU for running Emulators, seems the only emus that run decent on other DS flash cards are NES and GBC.
would i need home brew for this?
homebrew for Non DSTwo Flashcards yes, Emulators For the DSTwo are made by the Supercard Team I believe.
where cani find homebrew software?
here is a NES emu for DS, http://www.emucr.com/search/label/Ne...ax-results=12+
still trying to remember the name of this GBC emu i used to use.
so can i just go ahead and dl any old roms for snes or does it have to be a special type of rom?
any ol Rom, but its gonna run like total crap if its not on the DSTwo.
They may or may not support zip files, so go ahead and extract them after DL.
Any game you want is available right here: http://www.emuparadise.org/
here is the best GBC emu for DS, http://lameboy.nutki.com/?p=24
It runs pretty well.
cheers for everything guys!! the md roms dont work tho lol is ther a gba emu out there?
GBA emulation can only run on the DStwo since again it is the only one with a built in CPU
