Since I love New Vegas a lot, I'd like to note that it's pretty different from 3, so if you don't like one you might still enjoy the other.

I didn't want to start playing for that same reason, sleeping is also important

Seems like it. I died on the first level.
Actually, I think it was the second boatload of guys.
In my defense, Elena got in my way and it wouldn't let me dive for cover. I just kind of... rolled around a bit.
I made it out of the temple without dying, though.
Well... from gunfire. I ran down a hole once.

I might download the demo for New Vegas, if I can't get into F3.
Although I have serious doubts about my enjoyment of the franchise in general. They are just starting to seem like they aren't my type of game.

I just clipped through the scenery. My PS3 promptly crashed.

They've got a lot of work before this is ready.

Which is sad, since I played it during the iF1 beta.

And it was actually pretty sweet, huge delays on MM and terrible weapon balance aside.

Get used to it cos some parts, the plane crashing site, a certain dark half-flooded area.. are a major pain

Haven't played NV, but F3 can be kinda slow, still a good one if you don't mind spending hours and hours playing the same game.

Yeah, I remember a few spots where I died a half dozen times or so on Hard mode, so I'm expecting to dedicate the rest of my days off, and probably a couple more evenings besides, to finish this on Crushing.
And that was my big thing with F3, was that it felt really slow. That and I'm not a huge RPG fan to begin with, even when mixed with FPS. I just... don't quite have the knack for it. And I prefer my games to take about 15-18 hours on the first play through.

Speak of the devil. Airplane crash site.

See you all in an hour, when I clear this.

I spent lots of hours playing F3 in the Box, tempted to start it on the PS3 now since I bought the Collector's Edition and I also have the DLCs thanks to PS+.

If you stick to the story you could probably finish it under 20 hours, you do level up fast. It's all the side quests and aimlessly wandering around finding locations and items that takes forever. There is nasty slowdown here and there and that's considering I play it on the 360 and off the disc

Hmm. That wasn't so bad. I think I only died six times.
I'm definitely getting the hang of Crushing, though. Just have to change my style a little bit.
I'm going to eat those words in two chapters, I know.

I might do that, then. One day.
I have my surgery coming up at the end of the month. I'm hoping to pick up Alice: Madness Returns and Castlevania: Lords of Shadow beforehand, so that I have something to do while I'm off work. If I clear those games fast enough and still am not ready to go back to work, then maybe I'll dedicate some time to F3.

And by "end of the month," I mean "end of next month." It's not July yet.
