To play PAL games on an NTSC-U ps2 you have to patch the games before you burn them. even so its far from perfect. but its better than without because without its grey and black and you cant see a thing. the program you need to use is called PS2_Yfix. i found it by googling it. oh and some games you can select your tv type for example on the game ICO: Limited edition Pal when you first boot up the game you can choose either pal Or NTSC. some cheat devices like Gameshark and Action replay have codes to convert the tv style too.. hope you get it working
    Persona is so beast...

I'm pretty sure there is an NTSC-Pal patcher, if I don't have it on my computer at home I'll see if I can find a link for you.

    Here's a link: NTSC-PAL Patcher

Don't need to do any of this patching bollocks, all you need is a TV that supports 60Hz and you're sorted.

I personally use my PS2 through a 32" Samsung LCD TV through an RGB scart lead and I can play NTSC-U / NTSC-J games in colour through ESR. All I do is patch with ESR GUI and burn, sorted.

    Again don't patch

I will tell you why though ....
Force a game to run at 50Hz that is made for 60Hz will make it go out of sync and even make some games crash out completely

Just use the afore mention RGB scart on a PAL TV and by magic you will have a NTSC 60Hz game running in colour

GTA San Andreas - Real Car Names extra content mod [WIP] [Back burner, just won't have the time ]
Please can all ESR users post your results here to help with the project and others wanting to use ESR

No that's a standard composite cable.

If you're using an LCD TV you can get a component cable if you wish, although I just use the RGB scart over component since the picture quality is the same...
