I knew that they were going to take advantage of the market. That's stupid to do, cause when people get used to Xbox and think it's the best thing, then they just release a new thing really fast. I think they should wait before releasing it.

Wait, are you sure this is a system, it looks more like a dvd/cd player to me. Although, the article said that the nVIDIA nForce chip was in it. But what for? The DVD i guess.

According to the article, it will play both PC and XBox titles. Plus, you can see slots for four controllers in the picture. So it looks like a game system with a whole bunch of added features.

I've heard a rumor about that but nothing confirmed. It would be a smart move seeing how one of the complaints about the X-box is its PC-lacking abilities. Can't play PC titles, can't exchange save states and other files from HD to X-box HD, no USB port. I might consider buying one of those even though I don't plan on getting an X-box.

Honestly? I think that article is full of shit. Why the Hell would Microsoft even consider releasing a new system so soon after spending so much cash to release the X-Box. And theres the little fact that 95% of that article was littered with wild speculation! They speculate that the system will play both PC and X-Box games for one, with NO truth to back that statement up. We dont know anything about this system, and neither do they. Anyways, its no secret that companies such as Microsoft, Nintendo and Sony are ALWAYS developing new systems to be prepared for the future, but I dont believe that Microsoft would release this horribly named "Homestation" this soon after the X-Box if it is indeed a gaming platform. It doesnt make sence from any standpoint, and wild speculation on the part of that articles authors wont change my mind on that. I'm taking a wait and see attitude on this bit of..'information'.

It is all speculation but that would still be cool if it could actually play PC and X-box games. Remember that Gates poured billions of dollars into the production of X-box. He is struggling to make his money back right now with sales. But since the X-box didn't reach expected sales by the end of the year, I'm not sure that would ever happen. Don't expect to see anything new from them until E3 in two or three years.

That right Magus, I dont expect anything soon either. And it kinda would be cool to play PC and X-Box games in one system. The only reason I dont see it happening is that unless this thing is going to be upgradeable you may not be able to play certain PC games ones the consoles technology is surpassed, if it ever is.

I also think that article is nothing but b/s. But, I don't care if they follow up the x-box anyway.

So I guess there a few others besides myself that are skeptical about this article. I'll believe it when I see it.

You haven't posted here in awhile either Vengeance. Uh, MasJ, this is Magus. My login isn't working. I tried to login to the boards and it says that I entered the password incorrectly. Its the same password I use for everything and I never changed it. Can you fix it. This is my alternate login name.

Magus: Isn't there a button that say "Forgot Password" If so, click it, and I think it will email the password to you.
