    Default Sonic Advance 3 Problem

Sorry, I didn't know where else to post this thread.

I'm trying to play Sonic Advance 3 on VBA. It works fine, works like a charm, but when I begin the actual story, the game is modified. Like, I start at Route 99 without going through the intro "Dr. Eggman takes over the world, evil schemes, Sonic and is buddies must stop him blah blah blah", I have all Chao found in every stage, 9 Special Keys in each stage, all Chaos Emeralds, all maps, and all characters.

I grew up playing this game, so it's very, very important to me. Yes, I did clear the data, but when I reset the ROM, all it did was go back to being hacked. This spoils the game for me. Is this anti-piracy? Can I patch the ROM so that I can play the game from scratch? If so, how?

This might not make sense if you've never played Sonic Advance 3. Anyone who is able to help, thanks.

    Use this rom.
The one your using was most likely hacked by whoever made the ROM

Cheats are off, nor are there any cheats located in the cheat list.

I don't want to trouble you, but it's still not working properly.

I figured it out! Before I started playing the Sonic Advance 3 ROM, I was playing Pokémon Ruby Version. BUT, in order to play Pokémon Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald/Fire Red/Leaf Green on VBA, you MUST set the save type to Flash 128k, for if on Flash 64k, it will not run. If you exit the Pokémon Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald/Fire Red/Leaf Green ROM, and head straight to Sonic Advance 3 while the save type is set to Flash 128k, I think this activates a trainer (I don't know any other way to describe it). I've tested this out and my words are 100% correct.

If anyone else has the same problem as I did, make sure the save type is set to Flash 64k, not Flash 128k. You can check by going to Options>Emulator>Save Type>Flash 64k.
