In standard play? If so, that's fucking hilarious.

Yeah, I mean to specify that. They don't do this too often but there have been past mistakes (see: arcbound ravager).

Basically it boiled down to the fact that they were getting tons of complain mail/e-mail because you had to spend at minimum $350 for 4 copies each of 2 cards to compete in standard.

Oh and Phyrexian Obliterator is now entirely playable so the value is soaring.

Standard Magic has always been like that though, that's one of the reasons competitive level play is so off putting. If you don't have the scratch for the cards, you might as well just stay at FNMs.

Does Phyrexian Obliterator have any trick with other cards or is he just a big fatty who kicks in doors? I haven't been following the game in any capacity lately.

It doesn't matter how hard WotC trolls the player base, we will bitch a lot... but still pay and play.

Basically he just kicks down doors. You can 3rd turn him with sphere of the suns.

He's really strong in a mono-black with Abyssal Persecutor though. So fast.

Oh man, when I first saw Obliterator, I thought he was BBBBB for a 5/5, yeah, I can see why he's good now.

Yeah black is really strong now, lots of options. Splash blue or red or just go mono and balls out.

I like to have lots of fun though so I've been running Eldrazi Ramp or a wacko Immolating Soul Eater Death's Shadow deck.

Death's Shadow and Immolating Souleater, what's your work around for that deck? I guess you don't really intended to have much of a life total throughout the game so how exactly does it all come together besides having Souleater fuel Death's Shadow?

The rest of the deck is low level control. It's not really meant to get into drawn out matches.

    Here is the full list.

    Creature

    4x Death's Shadow
    4x Immolating Souleater

    Instant

    2x Doom Blade
    2x Go For The Throat
    3x Mana Leak
    3x Spell Pierce
    4x Tainted Strike

    Land

    4x Creeping Tar Pit
    4x Darkslick Shores
    4x Drowned Catacomb
    4x Island
    4x Swamp
    2x Tectonic Edge

    Sorcery

    2x Despise
    4x Distortion Strike
    4x Gitaxian Probe
    4x Inquisition of Kozilek
    3x Preordain

    Board

    2x Precursor Golem
    3x Spellskite
    2x Vampire Hexmage

    3x Spreading Seas

    2x Disfigure
    3x Flashfreeze

For fucks sake, so many cards and I have NO IDEA what they do, don't play for a year and everything is different.

Well, it's time to sell all of my revised duals and start playing again.

2x Doom Blade - Creature Kill
2x Go For The Throat - Creature Kill
3x Mana Leak - Soft Counter
    3x Spell Pierce - Non-creature Soft Counter
4x Tainted Strike - +1/+0 and Infect (if you don't know about infect it changes damage to players to poison counters and -1/-1 counters to creature, basically it's a cheap way to win w/ and unblocked creature)

2x Despise Ostracize + hits Planeswalkers
4x Distortion Strike +1/+0 and Unblockable (casts for free again next upkeep if it resolves)
4x Gitaxian Probe - Look at opp hand and draw
4x Inquisition of Kozilek Pro shit
3x Preordain - Scry and Draw

I'm actually look to modify the sideboard now. I think it could use Surgical Extraction, Memoricide and maybe Sadistic Sacrement. All of which are combo breaker cards.

Yeah, I pretty much looked all of the cards up as soon as I typed that. Why play Despise over Duress? Both of them hit planeswalkers, I have no idea what the meta game is, but it appears that you can deal with creatures efficiently. Any specific reason for needing the ostracize part of that effect or are you just using it as more creature hate?

It's good for hitting big creatures out. Kozilek takes care of a lot and slows the game down.

The top decks right now are Valakut and UB Control. Vs these decks I'll be taking out a Plainswalker or a 6 CMC Creature for the most part. Kozilek takes out all the lower tier non-creature cards.

Sooooo...people annoy me sometimes on Cockatrice. Everyone should know what they are getting into if they are playing a Legacy game. First guy I beat left right after I won game 1. Second guy I beat bitched about me getting a god hand after throwing down on his ass and winning the game turn 2 so I really didn't want to even bother with the match. I submit that the deck I was running really can't get too many bad hands w/o getting effed plus mulling to 5 w/ it is pretty doable.

Deck I was using for the lulz

    Artifact

    4x Lion's Eye Diamond
    4x Lotus Petal

    Instant

    1x Ad Nauseum
    4x Brainstorm
    4x Cabal Ritual
    4x Dark Ritual

    Land

    3x Island
    4x Misty Rainforest
    4x Polluted Delta
    1x Swamp
    2x Underground Sea

    Sorcery
    4x Duress
    4x Gitaxian Probe
    1x Ill-Gotten Gains
    4x Infernal Tutor
    4x Ponder
    4x Preordain
    1x Tendrils of Agony
    3x Thoughtseize

    Board

    4x Tormod's Crypt

    4x Dark Confidant

    1x Ad Nauseum
    3x Chain of Vapor
    1x Echoing Truth

    2x Tendrils of Agony

Basically Legacy is a really fun format, until you have to play annoying people. I much prefer the Germans and the Spanish on there that play Legacy.

Yeah, I played a lot of legacy and vintage. Storm pretty much runs itself, the only thing you need to worry about is post board. I remember when they printed Ad Nauseam, it was a great day for all of TEPS and it's variants.
