Default A doubt about MAME's interface

Hi beautiful people, I would like to ask you a question.
Have you followed MAME's development and changes closely during the last years?
If the answer's yes, I need your help.
Do you happen to know when MAME's interface changed from a window like any program that had the game list to a forced fullscreen menu?
    As in

    versus

    http://i678.photobucket.com/albums/v...winterface.jpg

Being the caveman I am I thought about updating, but I don't really like the new (...if it can be called "new" altogether) look of it, so I want to get the last version before the change. Do any of you happen to know what it is?

you are trying to run mame by itself with no front end, i recommend this mame,

    http://www.emucr.com/2011/05/mame-pl...142u3-r65.html

That mame is the latest Build for online play, it can also be used offline and of course and it has Filters also Built in unibios for neogeo games.

MameUI is what Mame32 is called now, so you can get a Window-style frontend version there.

Or yeah, the Kalliera version Supreme posted

Yes it does have filters always has had

I would recomend against filtering anyway those original arcade machines never had filters even though they used hi-def desplay, that asides the newer games are hi-res anyway

ofc this is up to the user to use filters or not

The few very retro games that do have realy blocky sprites, no amount of filters will change that

not that I have any personal feeling against Mame plus plus that just adds extra features like more filters built in and online play ect...

MameUI has no video filters that I can see, Mameplus is the one with video filters, also supports more roms.
