First ever was The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening on the Gameboy.
My first game was either Quackshot Starring Donald Duck or Castle of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse. My parents have differing stories on which one it was. lol.
Totally stole this thread idea from me. But I guess it's OK since it was lost in the rollback.
The first game I can remember is Super Mario World for the SNES. Although upon deeper introspection the first game I actually played was most likely Super Mario Bros for the NES. Possibly even some random arcade game.
Not sure but im pretty sure it was Super Mario Bros .
I remember playing Pong and thinking it was amazing. *LoL* That was the first "console" game I remember playing. The first Arcade game I ever played was Sea Wolf. I remember having to stand on two stools stacked on top of one another to see through the periscope! lol- good times-
Pickaxe Pete and Golf for the Magnavox Odyssey 2.
River Raid on Atari 2600 or Contra on NES. I can't remember which one was first. I sucked at Contra to the max, 99 lives wasn't enough for me to beat the game but I liked it very much.
Sonic 2 was also my first console game (all time favorite sonic game as well), but apparently I broke an Atari when I was 2. I first played Sonic 2 in 5th grade, when someone brought their genesis to a party, we were going to play ps1, but they either couldn't get it hooked up, or everyone wanted to play genesis. If it wasn't for that, I would have never got into video games at all. Lol at genesis being better than ps1 (genesis had some good games, but you can't beat the enormous amount of good rpgs and other games ps1 had).
First game I remember playing was joust on atari
Console game, I'm guessing...Mario Bros.?
PC game? Easy; either Warcraft 1: Orcs & Humans or Command & Conquer: Tiberian Dawn
well, I was born in '88, and during that time I've watched alot of SuperMarioBros, SuperMarioBros2, Tetris, Dr.Mario, NinjaTurtles-The arcade game, and Rad Racer. My first gameplay experience was with SuperMarioBros. it was like entering another world, with a simple goal and awsome unrealistic physical abilities (my vocabulary wasn't this advanced, as my explaination back then was "it feels so real!") I remember being the only one who seemed to use the run button constantly, while everyone else I knew liked to take it slow. To this day, my abilities in SMB are roughly the same, with all kinds of jumping techniques and uncareful planing which seems to [nearly] always work for me. I guess I've always been a dare devil in platformers, finding unconventional ways of getting from point "A" to point "B". I never really liked to use warps, or run along the top of the cave levels like a cheater, that's not my style. $20 was spent on this game and I wanted to see all of it. but, yeah, I have lots of fond memories of the Nes and Mario... good times.
... I guess before that I played DonkeyKong in the arcade (or I was pushing buttons as the demos played... I can't remember )
I honestly don't remember exactly. I, think it was Zillion on the SMS, but I could be wrong.
it was either mega man 2 or zelda i cant pinpoint exactly.....
