YES! I DO! I LOVE CLASSIC GAMING! sonic 3 & Knuckles, pure GENEIOUS! Super mario Bros. 3, Gold In a plastic cart! 98% of all my gaming is on my PC emulators, but only because I can't afford a Sega Genesis right now. My sega collection wishlist includes:
    -Sonic (every damn one!)
    -Outrun
    -Shining force
    -Kid Chameleon
    -Castlevania Bloodlines
    -outrun 2019 (in 8 years, that's what world's gonna be like )
    -contra hard corps
    -Wonderboy in monster world
    -Super Hang-on

point is, I like the older, more challenging games. SEGA [had] those. now they suck large bananas. It's all because of the whole corporation technology thing. I also love Rom hacks! Super mario Bros has a ton of new levels and adventures that even Shigeru Miyamoto doesn't know about. that's why I like old school gaming!

I consider NES-on-PSX and SNES-on-PS2 to be the best video game discs in existance.

i totally agree the reason i believe rpg's were better back then was b/c of hardware limitations they couldn't rely solely on cg cut scenes and in game graphics to sell their games. In rpg's at least improved graphics and cg cut scenes come at the price of story and gameplay. oh how i long for the days of games like final fantasy 3, chrono trigger, suikoden 2 and like games. it seems to me if you want a decent rpg these days your going to be playing a DS.

I still play Suikoden at least once per year. Playing Final Fantasy IX right now. The stories were just better back then, now it's all about the graphics and no real content.

Well, I am currently playing a hacked Zelda: A Link to the Past game. Well not hacked but was made using its elements and the game is called "The Legend of Zelda: Return of the Hylian" for PC and its a free source game since it was not allowed to be sold.

I love old school games. I don't really care for 3D honestly.

Viva La Old School! I remember my father bringing home the atari 2600. My older brother and I would sit with him and play for hours. Than me and my bro picked up the nintendo, sega master system, turbo grafx 16, sega, super nes. We had an intelavision in there somewere too. Nintendo holds my favorite old school games. Every time I emulate an old school game i think about what I was doing at the time I first played it.
I wish I could go back and replay these games for the first time.

Oh, Great monster of the cookie: You read my mind!

NES Metroid: A tough one to place... I always felt it was a nice game, but I hated it SO much! >.< Any others?

And as for old-school RPGs: I remember when a friend and I played FFIV for the first time (pseudo-multiplayer!)... We ran every time we saw a scary ogre/dragon/worm/etc...

    I second this.

Dunno if they're actually better or not, because I was much more into the whole gaming thing when I was younger.
Maybe I'm just being nostalgic, or maybe I'm too critical today, I don't know.
I can't remember the last time being really mesmerized by a game, the feeling I had when I first played Tenchu, Secret of Mana, The Revenge of Shinobi.
