    Question Your Favourite Board Game

As A kid growing up I used to play a hell of a lot of board games, from "Mouse Trap" to "Labritnth" from "Star Trek TNG Interactive Video Board game" to AD&D.

But what games stick out most in your mind as your old Favorites?

3 I most fondly look back on was "Monopoly", "Advanced Dungeons and Dragons" and "Star Trek TNG IVBG"

Monopoly was just an all time classic and I always seem to win, I Dont know what it is about it but as a board game its hugely satisfying to play.

AD&D was one of those games I loved, I love the Principle of it and the use of your imagination to play it, Unfortunately I never got a large group of people to play due to them calling it far too nerdy I occasionally got one or 2 people to play now and then

Star Trek was just such a interesting concept and was quite amusing the drawback I thought was since the Interactive part was a VHS It could get rather predictable when the Klingon would appear and what he would say, but it was a good laugh.

what was some of your fav's and if possible why?

Monopoly was definitely my favourite, it's a popular enough game that you don't have to explain the rules to people and it was my most played board game.

Monopoly is great. I have the PC version. Loved Ludo and Snakes & Ladders.

You make so many threads . If I could ever find people to play I'd have a blast with DnD, especially if they'd play 2nd edition .

Beyond a shadow of a doubt, it's Talisman: The Game No One Has Heard Of

Of course that is not actually it's subtitle, (it's something along the lines of Talisman: The Magical Quest Game) but seriously, there are more people who play Settlers of Catan than this.

I can't find any pictures of the Revised Fourth Edition (Black Industries wanted nothing to do with board games any more, and then Fantasy Flight Games picked it up and edited it) but here are some of original Fourth Edition (some have cards and some have miniatures):

And then there are the expansions, that you put on each corner of the board:

Just because someone said "Just because someone said it, doesn't mean it's true.", doesn't mean it's true.

Used to play a game called "Pyramid" a long, long time ago.

The premise was that you had to get to the centre of the board and construct a pyramid to win, there were different sections and to get into a different section you needed a certain amount of slaves to buy a sled to cross the desert to get to the middle. If you didn't have enough slaves (I know there were slaves, but I'm not totally sure if there were other ways to pay for stuff, gold or something) then you would have to go back around that area.

    Was pretty fun.

Totally never saw it that way. As a kid you never really thought about it like that.

Looking back on it, it wasn't exactly P.C.

But I still say it was pretty fun.

I liked (and still do) Risk. The only problem is that it takes forever to set up.

Oh and another that I for some reason love is, ABC Monday Night Football. I don't know why it's so fun but it is.

3.5 By far is my favorite board game.

My friends wanted to get into 2.0... but we didn't have the books, and only had like 4 people out of the normal 8 that were interested.

I probably would have enjoyed 2.0, because if I'm good at one thing, it's crunching numbers.
