Can't figure out how to run game without rom.

I can't figure out how to open or run street fighter III: 3rd strike in Mame.
It comes only as a CHD, so i don't know how to load it.
Any help?

Where do I place the .CHD (compressed hard disk image) files?

Put them into a subdirectory of your "roms" directory with the name of the game the CHD is for. In addition the CHD, you also need the corresponding ROMs for the game to work. To demonstrate:

I had the Rom file for the other two versions of the game, but there was no rom file for third strike.
On the download page it just said "This game comes as a CHD (Compressed Hard Disk). Please download the CHD from the link below and you can load it into MAME the same way as any other ROM. Have fun!"

or alternatively, get the sfiii3n.zip rom. It dos'nt need a chd. All three street fighter 3 games have a no chd version.
