    So I've been playing some Fable 3. Here's a semi-rant about it.

I can definitely see why people would complain about this, but at the same time, it's not the horrible piece of garbage some gamers make it out to be. In fact, it's sort of been growing on me the more I've been playing it. I also tried some online co-op as well, it's quite fun, although I managed to hook up with a guy from the US, so there was some lag.

HOWEVER. It's a complete fucking mess in terms of game design. All the emotes are nonsensical (make grown adults fall in love with you by tickling them/playing patty cake with them? lolwtf), and so is the whole hand-holding system. Yeah, because a grown man needs to be held by the hand like a pussy while I take him to the quest location. All the money making minigames are time-wasting bullshit, while the larger economy is also kinda lol (I'm actually typing this as the game is running in the background and my properties are automatically generating money for me every 5 or so minutes a la Assassin's Creed 2 and onwards). Exploration isn't rewarded at all because all treasure chests contain bullshit rewards - new hairstyles, new tattoos, dozens of gems that are useless because you're swimming in money anyway, and so on. Nothing you'd actually need. Sometimes you find a weapon, but it's not like you need it due to the piss easy combat. There's just so many pointless features in this that I can't see appealing to anyone other than Sims/Farmville fags. No offense if you're one.

On the flip side, combat is very fluid, especially loving the different rifle animations. Also, there were some genuinely amusing moments/quests, like the one that parodied shitty RPGs (yes, I realize the irony), or some of the things the evil gnomes say. And the graphics are lovely on PC in glorious 1080p.

So basically, despite all its flaws I don't actually hate this game.

All the negative points you mentioned were pretty much all in the previous games too. You think they would have learned.

Started Blue Dragon the other day. Hoping to knock it out before classes start again in 10 days. That is, assuming my scratched disc 2 doesn't crap out on me while playing like it does while trying to install. If it does, I may have to attempt to find a Blockbuster that still hasn't shut down.

Started playing Animal Crossing. Playing Harvest Moonunshine Islands. I like Sunshine Islands, but I think they've made it more difficult by adding sun stones collecting. I like that I can get recipes easier, and some things I like, but I don't like having to collect so many things.

    Demon's Blazon: Makai-Mura Monshou-hen
So far it's a good game! Although I am missing something that can't put a finger where....

They must be like Ubisoft, after several Assassin's Creed games the annoying beggars that everyone hated in the first game were still present in Revelations.

Anyway Fable 3 has sort of grown on me now. I've actually been doing lots of online co-op lately and it spices things up a bit. Definitely having more fun with it compared to the beginning.

    Dishonored.

It's not really what I expected it to be (so far anyway).

You may have fun with the previous ones then. But you'd have to give it some time since they really are just more of the same, a little less for the 1st but 2 sounds pretty close to 3 which I haven't played.

Not sure if that made sense

I'm enjoying Counter Strike and Counter Strike Condition Zero. Why aren't there that many vanilla game servers, most seem to be modded ones nowadays.

Started Legend of Zelda: Minish Cap. I'm really enjoying it, it's cute and a lot of characters from Ocarina Of Time/Majora's Mask are in it. I'm almost to the third dungeon. I would definitely recommend this if you're a Zelda fan. Different villain, a guy named Vaat.
