Decided to give Trails in the Sky another go. Well, not really another go in the sense that I didn't like it last time, but rather I just go distracted. From what I've heard it's a heavily story- and character driven game, so I just acquired a New Game+ save and decided to play with high-leveled characters from the beginning. I'm really only playing this for the characters and the story, so it doesn't really hurt my gamer pride at all.

Do you have the gem that lets you avoid random encounters on said save? If you do, you can shave even more off your game time.

I'm, uh... not sure. I did carry over everything, though - money, items, equipment, levels and such. I'll see if I have something like that. But I thought this game had no random encounters - I mean, monsters seem to appear on the field and you just run into them.

In any case, I'm fine with entering battles and just killing everyone with ease. The battle theme is, after all, all sorts of lovely.

Oh, sorry, not random encounters. I meant regular ones. It makes enemies just pass through you on the map. Don't know what it's called in English, but I think it's one of the silver ones.

Oh, okay. For a second I thought the game would suddenly enter NIGHTMARE MODE at one point and give you both on-screen encounters and random encounters.
