Getting stuck in Service mode...

I have this problem, mainly with CPS1 games, where after i enter service mode to change a few things, i can't find how to get out...
When the game starts up, it goes back into service mode and i can't play :/
To be specific, the games so far are Strider and Final Fight.

It should have instructions on how to exit service mode (some in game key combo) e.g. "press ? + ?" to exit usually at the lower end after all the main options, I will check it out soon myself though

Depending on the emu you have it may be set-up to boot in service mode, if so that needs changing, but can't tell you how without knowing what you are emulating through

Dip switches make sure game mode is on game mode, not test

Thanks, i checked out the emulator's menu and turned off service mode.
The games Strider and Final Fight actually don't appear to have a combo to get directly out of it

I noticed, very odd but was done through those nasty dip switches only
