Zophard Domain has a pretty decent list of games and places to get the patches.

Second romhacking.net. It updates fairly regularly and is pretty thorough.

I know they're dead, but I always liked DeJap. They're responsible for Star Ocean and Tales of Phantasia, as well as a few DQ games and of course Seiken Densetsu 3. Though they haven't done anything since 2003, their site is still up apparently.

A few of the links are down, but alot of the patches are still up.

DeJap was indeed pretty ace. She does fuck like a tiger, after all.

So, I'm bound to say the people who translated Fire Emblem VI, however they were. At first I was thinking the Der Langrisser people - along with Moon Knight who made an early translation of the light path. The general shitness of the actual dialogue made me change my mind though. Damn, I assumed the story would've been so cool, fucking asses.

Edit: Oh, and I'm rather fond of the getting-nowhere-newbs working on Gensō Suikogaiden. ^_____^

Edit 2: Okay, so I had forgotten about Aeon Genesis. DEAR ME, Mad Max looks fucking awesome. Might actually be time to, like, download an emulator and whatnot. It's freaking Data East.

Edit 3: Needless to say, I meant Metal Max, but yeah.
