Question A Translation Patch or a Program

I'm not sure if this is the right forum to post this in, if it isn't please put this in the correct thread.

Okay, there are some rumors going around on the internet about "translation patches."

Is there really a Translation Patch or a program to run on the Pcsx2, to translate from Japanese dialogued games to English?

If not and if any of you are planning on writing such programs, I will support you all to the end.

If there is, will any of you provide a link to download the program please?

I don't like reading in Japanese while playing a game.

No, there isn't a program that will translate all Jap games to English. You can look for translation patches for particular games, though, but I don't know if there are any for the PS2.

    There isn't?

*caution: may require extensive configuration, may be wonky as fuck, and may result in extensive babelfishing.*

About as well as it runs with anything else.

Which is to say it's not really a grand idea.

I have Phantasy Star Generation 2 for Pcsx2. Will it fuck up the Emulator and my computer?

Only one I know of: http://www.dqtranslations.com/projects/dq5r

EDIT: Oh wait, FFXII international. But I don't think that really counts, since they most likely just yoinked 3/4 of the text from the US release.
