The only time I have ever ran into this was when The World is not Enough was released on DVD. Meijer started selling it 3 days before they were supposed to.

    Yeah, I bought it.

This isn't anything to do with emulators, moved it to general gaming.

Plenty of places break street dates, who cares?

Not sure if anyone heard about this, but...

For anyone who cares, that's the company that I work for. Just... not that particular store. It was a huge deal. We had our copies of the book locked up in a giant steel cage, with two people holding the keys to two different locks required to get in, and an armed guard sitting outside the cage at all times after this happened.

    I laughed.

That was just the only reference I could find to the incident that wasn't on a forum. It was more the leaking of the book super early (I think it was about a week early).

What is actually stopping someone from reading the book? Does opening the book summon a swat team or are there camera's in the book? It would be quite funny to start reading and sometime in it the book said "you shouldn't have read that."

Three more days until Party time!

Really, nothing could stop them from reading the book unless they had an officer of some sort watching them 24/7. However, if they shared any details about the book to anyone -- via conversation, Internet, etc -- then they could have been fined for being in contempt of the court. Similar circumstance to a "closed courtroom," where no information about the proceedings are allowed to be published.

The funnyist breaking street date is still the Kinetic

Reason being if you tried to use it with the games it would lock the 360 into waiting for a firmware update that wasn't going live until the official release
