No but a warning would be on its place, I see everywhere people getting emails with warnings I don't. But hell after the new Terms of Insanity, Im glad they banned me.

I thought you got a mail, I saw the ToS change on a bunch of news sites, what did they actually change/add in?

Just read it now, I'm not really surprised by any of it. The 3rd party controller bit was kinda depressing but, I'm not exactly surprised since they knocked them off with the 3.50 update.

Yes I got a mail, in which they said I was banned not a warning.

Basically what their saying is, anything non sony authorized hardware isnt allowed, so you are a hacker if you use an usb hub to get more then 2 USB ports that isnt authorized by Sony. As if they own the USB ports, also seems they can do anything with your money, if you buy something and dont have funds they just rip off 10 dollars/euros/whatever from your creditcard (which happens to be sent around unencrypted). Further they say they can change/remove/add anything to your PS3 and if it breaks due to that process its your own damn fault. Further there is IP information and personal information they send to third parties without having to tell you a damn thing. As far as I can see it, if you agree, they fucking own you not just your ps3.

So the latest firmware has been released, looks like Sony have re-secured the PS3...

KaKaRoToKS has confirmed via Twitter: "Wow, in 3.60, Sony removed all the loaders, no more isoldr/lv1ldr/lv2ldr/appldr.. but they added lv0.2! Seems they found a way to secure ps3"

He also states that this doesn't mean it's un-hackable, just secure - for now.

Will be interesting to see if they find a way to block new releases from working.

As always more updates can be found over at http://psx-scene.com

I hope this will stay secure for a while, Sony might stop dragging people to court then.

Agreed, and people on CFW were ruining a lot of games online...

I'm still using the JB since everything gets patched for 3.41 and 3.55. Online cheating is bound to happen when it's available, it's not too surprising, I don't really think much of it since I don't play online though .

CFW has nothing to do with online cheating, hell the cheating only occurs in some of the FPS games, most of the people dont even have trouble with it, and the cheating is done by something in the save file.

Or by using a cheat package.

So take a look if yours is a lucky one go for it.
i'm going to buy a ps3 soon, and want to play homebrews so i was wondering if i should get a new ps3 (250gb)or a fatty(60-80 gb) from gamestop the price is about the same, but i will like to know which one will be easier to install CFW.

    difference i could notice

    Ethernet: (10BASE-T, 100BASE-TX, 1000BASE-T) fat
    backward compatible with ps2 games

HDMI output for 1080p resolution -- slim
