    Dreamcast questions

Hey, i was wondering if you needed a mod-chip to back-up a game? And how do you do it? Do you just burn it on your computer?

When I went to electronics boutique about a week ago I saw some kind cd that you would put in the Dreamcast so that you could play back-ups and imports of games on your DC.

Next time be a little more specific. <IMG SRC="smilies/yelsmile.gif" border="0"> I dont know what system you are talking about, so cant presisly answer your question, but I'll try. You dont need a mod-chip to backup your games, but you may need one to play them depending on your preference. On the PSX you can either use a mod-chip or the swap technique, and on the DC you can either mod your system or use a Gameshark to play them.

Yeah, i'm talking about the dreamcast, but nowhere on mod-chip.com does it say that you need the mod-chip to play backups. I was just wondering, cause the girl across the street said you could play backups, and i didn't know what you needed to have to play them. So immediately I remembered the PSX way and i wanted to know about the DC.

Now gangster, some of my friends have Dreamcasts and they have a special boot disc which you put in first, and then you put your burnt copy in. Works perfectly. To burn the discs, they use a program called DiscJuggler but im not sure where they got it from. Oh yeah also you can download a program that allows you to play your SNES roms on Dreamcast. Its called DreamSnes but i dont know the website. Unfortunately it still isnt perfect and the games run considerably slower. Next time i see my friends i can reveal more.
