Really glad Germany won obviously. Italy or France (assuming they don't piss the bed) in the final would have been awful. I would have been all-in on pulling for the winner of Portugal/Wales in the final if that were the case.

Totally, heroes is what they are. Historic performance regardless of the result today. It's impressive what a group of people can do when they believe in what they are doing. I hope this gives them enough motivation to go even further and qualify for the final phase of the World Cup. That would be most awesome.
And congrats to Portugal, their experience was key today. And yet another final for Cristiano, would be impressive to win the Champions League and the Eurocup the same year being decisive for both, his club and his national team.
In other news, Messi was handed 21 month prison sentence for tax fraud today. Another kind of hero, I guess
