What was everyone's favorite Console of Each Generation of units?

And I know i'm gonna be flamed cuz SNES didn't make mah cut, but I've always thought GEN games had better action. And I didn't like the Lackluster Color of snes games :p

Well actually, you did say consoles didn't you, I don't know if ps2 is considered to be a console. It's more of a home entertainment center/pc. It has the power and engine of a pc and the dvd player makes it an entertainment center. Whatever. If not ps2, then I would say Dreamcast just because of the rom playing capabilities it has.

What do you mean "it's got to be". The ps2 is just starting slow, it's going to get much better, much like all consoles do.

Microsoft may have bought all of Sony's big titles (Metal Gear, Final Fantasy, Medal of Honor, etc.) but that doesn't mean it would be better. I doubt there will be a huge visual or sound difference. I think Microsoft will perform as usual, creating: glitchy, overpriced, and over-rated crap!

Personally, I can't wait for the gamecube to come out, but i can't afford it... unless you guys click the banners .

I would consider ps2 a console.. Until you can type mid-term finals, download roms, and check email while watching a DVD, you don't have a PC/Entertainment Center

I forgot about TOSEC systems

I'd have to say Atari.
