Oh that. Yeah. I think the server has remained at the last Hey0 compatible version.
That is out of my control though.

I am playing minecraft beta, and i recently journyed into the nether on peaceful with the intention of mining some netherrack (i wanted to make a pyramid to live in that was on fire.) Yet while mining i decided to return. BUT i lost my portal. i have no obsidian to build a new one, i have been looking for my portal for an hour, and i don`t want to kill myself because i have my last diamond pickaxe, about 500 netherrack, about 200 soulstone and 50 glowstone. Is there any easy way back to the overworld?

Basically, if you can't find your portal you can either die, and quickly find your body, or use some sort of character editor, and move yourself to your spawn point.

Edit: After a good 12 hours, i finally found the portal back to the overworld
