It's not very picky when it comes to specs, but some lower-end laptops have trouble running it because they're factory underclocked.

Its really not that "insane."
Once in awhile I will experience some lag, but Im running it on a laptop.

every time try joining, it says "user not premium" i wasnt premium before and i got on.

*EDIT* - Earlier i said "Well, it's all software-rendered so your video card doesn't really help a great deal. " Actually, it's rendered in OpenGL. Oopsie. Regardless, CPU seems to make more of a difference to performance than GPU.

Runs fine on my 2ghz dual core laptop (8600GTm), not sure how much lower you go before it becomes slow. It's more demanding than it looks

I wish I could join your server as a dedicated minecraft player, but I got a friend's server that I've been in for at least 9 months.

All that you get from being dedicated is a few new commands and a green username.
