    In your case, I didn't put a subject. Then I click "cached" instead of the larger text link.

    the existence of that little 'cached' link would be a good tidbit of information to add to the main post (I had never used it previously and was having troubles finding a post because of it)

    The first post does say to use the cached page. It's a sort of obvious blue link, too.
