Default Whats up with the cliques?

I have noticed a lot of cliques and groups developing in the Freeforall. The most prominent being the Anti and Pro DBZ groups. I have not bothered to reply to them. I will say this:

I find that most people hate Dragon Ball because they don't know what it is, haven't seen it, or they are afraid they will like it. I don't know many people who like anime but do not like Dragon Ball. Do not judge it if you have never seen it. People like Dave think it is childish or something but that isn't true. To gain a respect for the series, you really have to see at least one of the movies, watch one the sagas (preferably in Japanese), and try to understand it. It is a good anime based on Japanese myths and legends. It isn't like damn American tv shows that make crap up every show, and have horrible artists. Dragon Ball has great artists and good story lines. Another good thing about it is that it is one long story. Unlike Powerpuff Girls or something, the "Z-fighters" don't go off and defend against an alien force, go home, and then the next episode brings a new enemy. Dragon Ball strings together episodes and sagas. The problem is, everyone compares it to normal American and European shows. It isn't! It is anime which is radically different.

By the way, if you don't like it, fine don't watch it. No one is forcing you. That doesn't mean you have to put down the millions and millions of anime fans around the world because you dislike wonderful artistry, music, and plots. Almost every good anime I have seen pulls off those aspects flawlessly. Dragon Ball is hardly "childish".

I'm just a lurker these days, I feel like an 80 year old gramps, watching his grand children play outside *sigh*
