    Default Question about file size...

I'm trying to make a sig but the file is too large. I'm using Fireworks and yes I did the "flatten the selection" thing...I can't think of anything else, and I don't want to make it any smaller than it is now. Thanks in advance.

What's the extension of the image? I think PNG has the best compression for images, no? I might be wrong on that.

In Fireworks, just go File -> Export. That way you can save as other file formats and other sizes, for example JPG. Try it out.

Then again if you're saving in PNG24 like Mikey saves his damned screencaps, you'll be over the limit if your image has a too many color.

Negatory. .png is a lossless compression. You want .jpg OP.

Quality wise, PNG is the best compression because it is lossless.

Filesize wise, it is not because it is lossless.
