I am having the worst luck with case fans! Sure, I can understand the fans that I got from china might be loud, but this other fan from Rosewill also churns...
Now that I finished building my girlfriends new PC, the office's tornado is in stereo.

    (Loud PC on either side)

If it has at least a 1.6ghz processor it'll more than likely run Win7 well enough, though more ram would also help.
I've got some RAM that might be able to work in it, bumb it up to 2GBs. Let me install that and check, i've got it on my PC.

I'm looking into a VAIO laptop. AMD A8 processor, 750GB HDD and 6GBs of RAM and ofc a DVD/CD burner, in about a year the digital internet will go up in price, so I need to prepare.

Free PC parts I can't do anything with until I receive DDR3 RAM in the post.

My Grandad claims there are issues with the motherboard, personally don't think so. But just in case I just ordered 2x1GB cheapo sticks of RAM to test it out with for a bit, before I put any real money into the board.

Intel i5 1156 650 3.2GHz dualcore that cost £140 in 2010. Motherboard was about £60 back then as well.

Of course. If this motherboard turns out to be a dud, I'll be putting that HSF on my LGA775 board. I'm positive it'll keep my E7200 cooler than the stock fan does.

I hear good and bad things about Crosshair V's.. Keep the box and any warranty information handy for at least a month or two just in case you need an RMA. I wish you lots of luck with it though, maybe you could throw us some feedback so we can hear more on the performance of it from someone we know. I hate sorting through product reviews, you never know who's being honest and who's being paid by the company to hate on stuff. Hello again EP by the way, I can't remember the last time i've been here!

It's actually a really good board. Its got alot of nice features to it. I've never OC'd but its got all of the options there in the bios to make it user friendly. I wish i could explain further but i just got the board 2 days ago. Had no problems with it. 5 stars overall so far

*Edit* Always keep the original box and receipt for everything

Say for example, I only have a 6n137 on hand, but in a schematic made by someone else, I an suggested an 6n138 and am also told that the PC900 is better.
Anyone know if the PC900 is worth going out of my way to buy if I already have a 6N137?

I believe this part of my device will be to protect against potentially-bad MIDI input. Last time I built this, I just used a PC900 but it was my last one.

I am dumb! I know when and where to use things, but not why or how they work.
Imagine these particular integrated circuits as having a tiny little man with a flashlight in hand, talking to another guy with morse code. The second guy apparently is wearing better sunglasses in the PC900 than the guy inside of the 6n137/138. I need to know if the flashlight is bright enough to actually require the better sunglasses or if the second guy is just being a whiny bitch!

That pretzel I left on the floor last night was not even half as stale as I thought it would be this morning.
